Ethan was having trouble going to sleep. He kept stalling asking for water, food, more books, songs, etc. He came out and asked if he could watch me exercise on the treadmill. He came out asking for his water cup to be re-filled. He was just having trouble going to sleep. Eventually he settled down to reading by himself by flashlight. I heard him reading over the monitor and snuck back in with my camera to take a quick picture. Eventually I went in to check on him and found him asleep so I removed the book and turned off the flashlight. I suspect that the quick nap he took at the table while refusing to eat his dinner was the culprit.
