Yesterland Farm

Back in October we took a trip over to a place called Yesterland Farm for some fall activities. We grossly underestimated how much there was to do and showed up two hours before closing time. Next time we will go earlier in the day!

Exploring the giant corn maze. We got to the center of the maze when we heard the words "I need to go Potty".

This way!

Had to stop for dirt

Uh oh...I can't find Daddy. I think he's lost.

Landon running amok through the trees.

More dirt. I think this was his favorite part.

Jack O' Lanterns 2014

This years Jack O' Lanterns were inspired by the movie Garrett worked on this year, The Book of Life, and Ethan who wanted a scary cat pumpkin.

We listed to kid's Halloween music on pandora radio while Garrett carved and I roasted pumpkin seeds. The kids also watched a few short Halloween cartoons.

The kids had both taken late afternoon naps so we all stayed up late and had a "Pumpkin Hunt" after enjoying our glowing Jack O' Lanterns. We put a glowstick inside each pumpkin and hid the glowing pumpkins all throughout the dark living room. The kids had fun running around the living room looking for the glowing pumpkins. It was so fun watching them race around in their glow-in-the dark skeleton PJ's. The PJ's glowed almost as bright as the pumpkins and it was almost like watching a dance seeing the little skeletons whirl and twirl and laugh around the room. I think we may have added a fun new component to our yearly tradition!
