120/365: Bluebonnet Baby
Tuesday morning we got up bright and early to take some more bluebonnet pictures. We went with my neighbor and while we were out I captured this picture of her newborn.

119/365: Potty training

Day 2 of potty training. I was too chicken to leave house without his potty! Turns out that sitting on the potty in the back of the car is a huge novelty. He loves it! I close the door to give him privacy and he thinks its a great game. I'm pretty proud of myself too for not becoming a hermit. He actually does better when we are out and about so we've actually run 6 errands in three days with only one accident. We ditched the diapers 100% and we aren't looking back no matter what!

118/365: Chaotic
In the morning we discovered we had a leak under the sink. Turns out it was really the faucet that was leaking and needed replacing. The new facets didn't go well with our old sink so we decided to replace the sink as well! 8 hours later we had running water in the kitchen again. Yay, Garrett! Not only did he have to replace the sink and faucet but he also had to cut our counter top to accommodate for the slight difference in the sink sizes.

Bluebonnet Brothers
Quick bluebonnet photos before yesterday's park playdate. I had seen them driving by the day before so we planned on taking a few before meeting up with friends.
Landon wasn't upset, just getting tired from the car ride and feeling a bit subdued.
This is probably the biggest smile that we were able to get out of him. Surprisingly it was Ethan that was really into taking photos this time.
I think sweet big brother enjoyed having Landon sit up next to him. He gave Landon lots of attention and a few kisses on the back of his head.
I think this last one is my favorite. You'd never know that Landon was undoing the velcro on Ethan's shoe and that Ethan was trying to stop him. ;-) haha!

116/365: After bath book
Freshly bathed Landon keeping occupied in the hallway outside the bathroom while Ethan finishes his bath. I've finally figured out how to juggle bathing them at the same time without anyone having to be left un-attended! No more making them bathe at each other's nap times! Well, at least not until Landon become mobile and things change again! ;-)

109/365: Long drive
7 hours on the way to San Antonio and 8 hours on the trip back. It was a whirlwind trip and we are exhausted but it was jam packed full of fun and we had a great time visiting and celebrating my sister-in-law Robin's wedding! Welcome to the family, Robert!

Geocaching in April
Enjoying the scenery.
Found it!
One of the top 5 coolest geocache containers we have seen yet.
Helping daddy look for another one.
Bluebonnets are starting to show up.
Ethan found a broken kite that must have blown out of a tree. He had so much fun running and making it "fly" behind him.

Walking with Mommy.

108/365: Playing with a kid his own age
Landon finally got to have a playdate with a kid his own age. My friend from middle/high school, Jordan, and her husband and baby girl were in town and came by for a visit. We had a great visit and Landon and Serenity had fun playing while we talked too!

Geocaching in March
Ethan playing with an abandoned toy he found.
Exploring while we look for a geocache.
After this point we realized that we had lost both Ethan's monster and our gps. Luckily after we retraced our steps for a while we found them again!
We also found this lovely snake.
Landon is a great geocacher.
Closing in on another cache and enjoying the scenery along the way.
Ethan loves going through the "treasures" while we sign the log-book!

107/365: Alphie in the Dark
This week I've had to play "Alphie in the Dark" and read books by flashlight as my way of getting him closer to bedtime. Once we've done that he's usually finally okay with going to sleep. Whew!

Ethan: 3 & 1/4
Ethan,
At 3 1/4 you:
- Weigh: 33.4 lbs and you are 37 1/2 inches tall
- Wear: Size 3 pj's, Mostly size 2 pants and shirts but some 3T and size 7.5/8 shoes.
- Sleep: Naps have been gone for weeks so I think its safe to officially say that naps are a thing of the past. Because you have stopped napping, you tend to go to sleep around 8:30 and wake up around 7:00 am.
- Eat: You are so picky that you don't even want LANDON to eat the foods that you don't like. You don't object to him drinking a bottle or eating banana but when he eats anything you don't like you get mighty upset!
- Friends: You play a lot with your friends Gabi, Lucy, Bekah, and Mady. You will play with both boys and girls at the playground but you tend to choose girls as your friends.
- Favorite color: Still yellow!
- Favorite cartoons are Lunar Jim, Postman Pat, and My Little Ponies. Favorite movies are Toy Story 1, 2, and 3. You also like Shrek and Wall-E.
(Arriving at the playground) "Mommy, I hear so much happy!"
(After crying you say..) "My eyes spilled. Dry it off?"
(After coming into the living room after my shower) "Mommy? You all nice and clean?"
(when you are hungry...) "Mommy, we're hungry. I need foods again"
(while I'm fixing my hair) "Mommy, you have lots of crazy hairs!"
(talking about Landon, animals in pictures, pretty much anyone doing anything) "I think he likes it"
You have your own names for your favorite types of cracker snacks. Tall crackers (club crackers), Square crackers (saltines), Circle crackers (Ritz), Tall pretzels (Townhouse Flipsides crackers)
You love to run around in just your diaper. Even when its cold outside. You still insist that you are not cold. It takes a lot of persuasion to get you dressed and get you to stay dressed.

You are still completely eaten up with your love of pumpkins. We talk about pumpkins, watch the Halloween specials from any cartoon series, and you ask us to draw you pumpkins. You are even growing pumpkins.
You even wanted a pumpkin Easter Egg. (we dyed one and we drew a face on a plastic one for you)
You have started to wake up and tell us about dreams. The other day you woke up extra early to tell us about a giant rabbit that was very noisy.
"I love you Booskgar, I love you Buzz Lightyear!". You're bed usually has a lot of toys in it when you go to sleep. The number of and specific toys varies from day to day but you always have your turtle lamp, musical puppy, Booksgar, and the stub of your old baby pacifier.
You love puzzles and the alphabet. You catch on quickly but still love to repeat the activities and sometimes give silly wrong answers which then you go through the options and correct yourself.
There is so much more that I could say about you at this age! You are funny, silly, dramatic, and theatrical. You are starting to talk back and push your limits but you are also showing so much compassion and interest in others. I have a feeling "Three" is going to be a fun year!
