Halloween 2015

Ethan helped Garrett sort the pumpkin seeds for me to roast.

This year, Garrett used a linoleum cutter to scrape away his design.

Almost ready to begin! We began setting up a spot outside for Garrett to wait for trick-or-treaters and we put out three bowls. Candy, small toys/trinkets, and non-choking hazard larger treats for the 2 and under crowd. Garrett said it was a hit! We had a lot of trick-or-treaters come by.

Friends here and ready to go!

Letter K proudly wore his costume all night long. He was eventually so tired he could hardly walk but he still insisted he was the letter K and wanted to wear it.

It was a fun night and the kids trick-or-treated for several blocks. Their candy buckets were full to the brim by the time they arrived home!

Ethan read "5 Little Pumpkins" to Landon as a story before bedtime. As Ethan read, Landon "helped"out by sounding out the words as they went along.

"Dinosaur Bushes"

This week the boys have been all about dinosaurs. One of the games they made up, is called "Dinosaur Bushes". They've asked to play it almost every day and it involves a handful of dinosaurs and Landon's tricycle.

Ethan and Landon loosely take turns at hiding or randomly throwing the dinosaurs into the bushes. Then they go and "hunt for the dinosaurs". Then they "throw those naughty dinosaurs in the bucket!".

The next stage of their game consists of someone riding the tricycle back and forth on our walkway and then the "naughty dinosaurs escape!" while the driver isn't looking. Then the game begins all over again.

Careful Landon, while you aren't looking those dinosaurs are going to escape!
