Joy of Love: Staying In

Homemade pizza on a Friday night. Hubby and I love making pizza on Fridays.

Two weeks ago i made pepperoni pizza and garlic breadsticks with marinara dipping sauce. This Friday I made margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza. The margarita pizza was my new favorite and will definitely be made again.

Joy of Love: Generations

Garrett's Dad was in town tonight for a conference and he invited us out to dinner with him.

I'm so glad that we were able to meet up with him. Even though we last saw each other a month ago it feels like it has been longer and Ethan has grown so much!

Ethan instantly became friends with his 'Poppy' when he offered to take him walking. Now that Ethan can walk he doesn't like to sit in a highchair at the restaurant he wants to explore!

You would think that Ethan would be the one not looking at the camera! ;-)

Joy of Love: Passions and Hobbies

Garrett's paintball mask. From paintball in the back fields in Somerset to the Oklahoma D-Day scenario paintball game, it's seen a lot of glory in the 12 years that he has had it.

Team Belkarnage.  Pictured with Garrett is my Dad, cousin Zack, and uncle Tim.

Joy of Love: Space; where they are most comfortable

My husbands domain used to be the size of a room but after Ethan was born it became the size of a desk. ;-) Garrett's favorite place to relax is at his computer desk.

Joy of Love: Who They Love

Our cats love to snuggle and take naps together daily. They truly are the best of friends.

This photo was taken a couple of months ago but I still love it. It pops up on my photo screen saver from time to time and I couldn't resist using it.

This was yesterday when Garrett got home from work.

And then the next day at dinner. :-)

It sure warms my heart to see the two of them together!

Joy of Love: What You Love/ Hate About Them

My Beau cat likes to sleep in the towels.

Our cabinet doors don't always stay shut and so sometimes I come into the bathroom to find this.

As annoying as it is to have cat hair on my towels its also kinda cute and one of the things that I love about my Beauregard. It's hard to be mad when he was just making a soft little kitty bed.

Joy of Love: Love From the Heart

Earlier this week I had a rough night with a teething Ethan. I woke up to find this on my desk. I love little surprises!

Joy of Love: Then & Now

Then (2004)

Now (2011)

My husband loves cars and used to drive a classic muscle car but now he happily drives a hybrid and is known to be a bit of a "hyper-miler". One day, when I was towards the end of my 3rd trimester with Ethan, I rode in Garrett's car and he commented on how having me in the car was killing his gas mileage. Nope, I'm not going to forget that one! ;-)

Joy of Love: What They Do

I decided to take part in the "Joy of Love" photo series for the month of February. The goal is to take a picture of or about your loved one each day according to the theme for the day. I figured since Ethan gets the spotlight most of the time I would highlight my other sweeties this month and give Garrett and the kitties some lens time.

What They Do

Every night before bed, Garrett eats a bowl of cereal. It doesn't matter what we had for dinner earlier. In fact, if we had a big dinner and he is overfull he will  lament the fact that he is too full for his nightly cereal. I don't know how long he has actually done this, but I've known him to do it as long as we have been married (5 years).

Of course, this isn't what Garrett really wanted me to write about. :-) He would have preferred me to take a picture of him in front of the computer since that's where he is for most of his day. Instead, I'll give you this picture, taken a few months ago, of Garrett in front of the studio where he works.

And the kitties? What do they do? Well....most days look like this:
