At 9 months you:
- Weigh 19 lbs and 4.5 ounces (45th percentile) and are 28.5 inches tall (60th percentile). Your head circumference is 45 which puts you at 50th percentile.
- Wear cloth diapers during the day and size 3 disposable diapers at nap and at night.
- You wear 12 month sleepers and size 6-12 month clothing.
- Are still doing fantastic on sleep! You take a short morning nap and a longer afternoon nap. On evenings when we are at home you go to bed at 7:30 and then usually sleep through the night until 7-7:30 am.
- Three times a day you eat a 4 ounce bottle along with 4 (sometimes 6 or 8) ounces of food plus a piece of fruit in your mesh feeder, and twice a day you eat a 6 ounce bottle.
You sit up all the time and roll repeatedly to get to things that you want but you are not yet crawling or pulling up. You don't have a lot of incentive since your big brother likes to bring the entertainment to you! You do like to stand in my lap and two days ago you started to get up on your hands and knees and rock forward. When you are excited and want to go somewhere you usually sit and rock back and forth reaching with your hands and making noise. You know that you want to go forward and you are excited but you haven't yet figured out that being on your belly/hands/knees is the key.

You are teething non-stop but you only have two teeth on the bottom and no sign of your upper teeth yet.
You are still one of the sweetest, happiest, and most laid-back babies I know. It takes a lot to phase you. You often have to skip naps or take them on the go to accommodate a busy schedule and yet it doesn't throw you off or phase you.
You still love peek-a-boo and it gets laughs all the time. Especially when your brother does it.
You love your Elephant. You snuggle with it when you are tired and you also love to play with it as well.
You are entranced by your electronic toys and prefer them over your soft infant toys.
You love meal time. You get excited when we put you in the highchair and we usually have to give you a few yogurt melts to practice your self-feeding with while we get your food ready otherwise you get mighty impatient!

You still grab with your fist most of the time but you are getting good at picking up your snacks. You are still not so good at getting them in your mouth however. The practice keeps you just as happy as eating it though.

You are getting better at expressing yourself through body language and we have learned a lot of your queues and what they mean. We are beginning sign language at feeding time.
You don't like to be left out of eating! If we are eating you want to eat too. You even started to fuss because you saw your brother drinking from a straw cup so YOU wanted a straw cup too!
So far the only thing that you have eaten and given funny faces over is plain Avacado. You don't seem to be a fan. Make it into guacamole or mix it with banana though and you will gobble it down!
Happy 3/4 of a year, Landon!
