Big Brother Ethan

How has Ethan done with the transition from only child to big brother? Well, frankly he has done pretty well! He is testing his boundaries with me but with his Dad nothing has changed and he has been super sweet to his baby brother.

Ethan points out the baby and asks where the baby is if he can't see him. He also wants to give him tickles (Ethan loves to be tickled). He also wants to share his treasures like his acorns and his toilet paper tube.

He went and stood over Landon, who was sitting in the bouncer at the time, and looked at the baby and looked at his acorn and back again and acted very unsure on if he wanted to share his treasured acorn. He started to give it to the baby then held back and then he decided to lay the acorn at the baby's feet. We praised him for being a sweet big brother but then told him that Landon was too little for acorns and that acorns were big boy toys and he happily took his acorn back.

He has also leaned over the baby several times and then loudly stated, "He's cute!"

I think he's going to like being a big brother!
