84/365: "It's GROW-wing!"

Ethan's sunflower that he planted has started to grow. He asks several times a day to go outside and "see how it grows".

Landon: 6 Months!

Landon,

At 6 months old you:

  • Weigh 17 lbs, 6 ounces (92nd %), and are 27 3/4 inches long (ABOVE 97th %) and have a head circumference of 43.5 (85th %)
  • Wear cloth diapers during the day and size 2 disposable diapers at night (almost done with this box). You wear 12 month sleepers, 9 month clothing (its tight) and size 6-12 month clothing.
  • Are still doing fantastic on sleep! You take a short morning nap and a longer afternoon nap. On evenings when we are at home you go to bed at 7 or 7:30 and then wake up again between 11-2 am for a bottle and then again at 5-6 am. Sometimes you'll go back to sleep again for an hour. We swaddle you with arms out and you usually wake up crying once you roll onto your stomach. Some naps you take un-swaddled but they are shorter.
  • Eat 6 ounces of formula every 3 hours during the day.You also eat 1 meal of baby food- barley cereal, bananas, pears, peaches, apples, and squash.

You love blanket lovies and they help calm you when you are crying. You like them all equally though at this point in time.

You are such a happy baby! You give us full body smiles and mama and big brother can usually get the best laughs out of you. Big brother gets the big belly laughs every time. No one can make you laugh quite like your brother can.

You are always biting on something; usually your hands. Teething rings and toys make you  mad right now. No sign of these teeth but I know that they are on their way.

Blowing raspberries is fun. You also like to play with your mouth expressions. You don't droll quite as much as your brother but you do spit up more.

You have been able to roll over for a while, but now you are showing interest in rolling for the fun of it. Usually after rolling a time or two you get stuck and cry for assistance. You can sit if we assist by holding onto your hands or holding down your legs. I bet in another month you'll be doing it on your own.

You already find your brother's toys interesting.

You still like your bouncy seat and while you like to wiggle and make it bounce you prefer to relax in it and watch what is going on around you.

This month has flown by fast! You sure are a fun little guy to have around!
