3/365: Help yourself

{Help Yourself}

When Mom says "No", or is helping Landon, just help yourself. Chances are you already know the answer to those puzzling child locks. Flex your independence and you'll realize you had the answer all along. When that fails, try brute force. Its great.

I offered him yogurt. But he wanted pizza. Know what he said next? "Lets put it in the oven and make it hot!" Geez....might as well tell Garrett to go ahead and buy me hair dye and wrinkle cream for Mother's Day... (and no Garrett. Don't. Just don't)

The last of the child-locks has been breached.

I might have been just a little bit annoyed with him today. And yesterday. Yesterday he took apart the doorknob cover and decided to climb on the bathroom counter and run water in the sink.

2/365: Cats on new bedding

{Cats on new bedding}

For Christmas I received new bedding. I put it on the bed today and it didn't take long for the cats to come check it out. The old set was nice, but I was ready for change (and something machine washable).

{2011} Halloween Reactions

I've been slowly going through and cleaning up the 'drafts' section of my blog. I have quite a few that I started and forgot about! It's been fun discovering these 'lost' photos.

Discovering that the pumpkin had a face! We only kept the pumpkins around for a day after we carved them since Ethan kept lifting off the lids and putting toys inside (eww!).

Landon newborn photos

When Landon was a week old I took some newborn photos of him and then shortly after started dealing with all the herniated disc problems and never finished editing the shoot. I held off posting these because I intended to go back and edit some more but since he's already almost 4 months old I guess I'd have to say that the chances of that are slim. ;-) So I'm going to go ahead and post what I did edit and call it done. :-)

A photographer friend of mine generously lent me her newborn props so that I could take Landon's newborn photos! I have never done newborn photos before so it was both fun and enlightening figuring it all out but I enjoyed taking photos of little Landon!

Little details. This is where I wish I had remembered that I was going to rent a macro lens to photograph a few of these precious details. Oh well, it slipped my mind!

Just 1 week old.

1/365: Black-eyed Peas

I am starting a 365 photo project for the year of 2013. I have to admit, I felt very nervous about hitting the "submit" button for this post and officially committing! I've wanted to do one for a while now though so 2013 sounded like as good a year as any! I'm excited to see what 2013 will bring and to document our daily life as we enjoy this new year.
