Oh, Christmas tree!

I think Landon found all this Christmas tree business is tiring.

A TREE!

"A TREE, a TREE!" he says, as he excitedly runs around the living room in circles.

He just can't leave it alone.

He's been squealing about it all morning.

And no matter how many times I dutifully tell him to back away from the tree (keeping in mind that soon it will be decorated and he'll need to leave it alone), he just can't help himself.

And there is a part of me that really doesn't mind. Even though I have to pretend that I do. After all I don't want him messing with another person's tree or knocking over ours. But there is something so sweet about being almost three and having so much enthusiasm. His enthusiasm is contagious and I wish I could bottle it up.

This year Christmas is going to be so much fun!

My evenings these days

Garrett took this photo the other night and I thought it was funny because it perfectly sums up my evenings (and most nap times) these days. Ethan goes down, so I lay down to rest my achy back and immediately I end up with two cats on me (as well as a baby). It's pretty funny how predictable it is! I guess it has become our new routine at the moment. :-)

"'It's the most wonderful time of the year..."

For some reason, this song pops in my head whenever Ethan gets sick in the winter. It is a wonderful time of year, but when you have kids it also means that it's sick season which of course is not so wonderful. Hello, December 1st! It wouldn't be December without a case of the croup!

My poor sick little baby! Let's just hope we can keep these germs contained. This winter is a little scarier with a newborn around!
