Time flies when you are having fun! I can't believe that you are now 9 months old. I know I say this sort of thing every month but now that you are mobile I feel like time has started to move quicker.

You were pretty wiggly at your appointment today so I'm not so sure about these measurements but to the best of our knowledge your 9 month stats are:
height: 28 inches (50 %)
weight: 21.12 lbs (70 %)
head: 46.7 (85 %)
teeth: 4 top and 2 bottom
shoes: size 3
diaper: size 4
clothes: size 12 and size 18 month. The 12's fit you perfect and the pants are almost too short. The 18's are baggy but fit decent enough.

You love love love your kitties! You love to chase them and grab them. Bailey has learned how to stay out of your way, but Beau...Beau just loves to be around you. You have grabbed poor Beau's leg, fur, scruff of the neck, etc but still he comes around to play. I have also seen you share toys with the kitties. They like to bat around your stacking cups and crinkle toys and you LOVE to crawl after their toys. This month I have rescued a cat toy (or two) from your mouth. Eww!

Beau will keep his distance from you when he wants to be alone but he just hasn't caught on yet that you don't know how to be gentle with him (yet). So far so good though neither of you have gotten hurt!
This month I have seen you form a stronger attachment to "Ghost Bear". Before he was an occasional nap time companion but now you always have him with you at bedtime as well as naps. I can see you visibly relax and allow yourself to drift off once he is in your hands.

You have also started saying dadadada and mamama or momomom. You have also discovered how to make a clicking noise with your tongue.
You are trying to grow up so quickly! You had barely begun crawling when you decided that mobility was so fun that you would give cruising a go! You are faster when you are bent over and cruising (like around a suitcase laying on the floor) but you are quickly building confidence with cruising along the couch. We couldn't find any corner protectors that would fit our coffee table so we decided to put it in our closet during this phase of your life.
You had only been cruising for about 15 minutes before you decided to stand on your own. You were able to stand for several seconds at at time. Since then all you want to do is stand. The longest I have seen you stand is around 6 seconds. You want to play standing, and eat standing. In fact, when I feed you your bottle you prefer to stand while drinking it. Kind of reminds me of a gerbil.

You have also has started crawling with proper form, however you sometimes like to combine it with your army crawl. I think you do this because you are faster at crawling while holding a toy when you are on your stomach.

You are in LOVE with your green ball. Best $2 I've ever spent.
Your favorite toys at the moment are your stacking cups and green ball. The stacking cups go everywhere with you. You crawl with them, try to sleep with them (you hold one in one hand and ghost bear in the other), and you try to take one with you when we leave the house. I'm trying to discourage you from taking them out of the house though because I don't want you to loose one. However, I have had to take a cup or two in from the car where you sneaked one past us. ;-)

And last, but not least, you love to crawl under your exersaucer and play. I think you just like the challenge of crawling around the legs!

You are such a happy busy little boy! I love how you laugh and get so excited when your Daddy and I play games with you and how you giggle and like to be tickled. You are also starting to mimic us when we play and you have started to find peek-a-boo funny. You are just too precious and we love being your parents sweet boy!
Love all the pictures! Have y'all tried the foam pipe covers you buy at the hardware store to put on your coffee table? They are inexpensive, you can cut them to size, and fit just about anything! :)
ReplyDeleteI get online just to see what you and Kalyn have posted. Keep up the good work. Love the pics.
