{Daily Moments} Gummy Force
Gummy Force making secret plans in their HQ this morning before it got too hot to play outside.
We had a slow morning without anywhere to go so we stayed in pajamas until noon and the boys played and played. They marked out different territories with hand drawn flags, made vehicles out of cardboard boxes equipped with all sorts of marker drawn secret features, and made massive plans in their HQ. Landon said the garden is like a “secret overgrown temple”.

{Daily Moments} Baby Owls
Today was the kind of school day where Landon had barely made it to the end of his lesson when you could see the wheels turning in his head and he was starting to become the owl that we read about. As soon as the last sentence was read, he was off and building an owls nest with Ethan close on his heels. They built, fought, compromised and came up with a nest design that they were both happy with and proceeded to play out hatching as eggs, growing up, learning to fly and puffing up their wings to make predators think they were bigger and fiercer than they were. Once they were all played out, we continued our other subjects with the promise that when our school day was over, we'd go back and re-read the book on baby horned owls a second time.

Mudhodded Warriors

When you hear the words "Mom! Come look at our Mud Suits!" You know you have one of two choices. 1. Scold them for the mess and ruin the fun, or 2. Quickly grab the camera on your way outside.

You boys were so proud of your mud suits of armor. They give you +40 earth protection points against bees and wasps and UV. The mud globs on your ears are a sign that you are royalty.
You told me that you came through time from the Mudhodded Ages by using a mind-stone to rip the fabric of time. There was a long detailed backstory about living in the Mudhodded Ages. Landon was the "mud master" and inventor of the mud armor. His common name was "salt" but his secret name only special people could know was Landon.
The symbols (plants) on your chests help you to be able to go back in time and reach your own time and not end up in the wrong place.
Your fierce warrior face. Ethan, you were pretty good at staying in character and pretending you were a time traveler dazzled by your surroundings.
Boys, you keep it fun around here.

On their way to Hogwarts
Lately you boys have both been immersed in the world of Harry Potter. You've been watching the first two movies each once a week, listening to the audio books, gazing at the cover art and pretend playing your own made up adventures set in his world.
Lucky for you, we have a door to the magic world right here in our house. You have to look carefully, but once you see the nick in the wall paint and touch it with your wand, you may enter. But only if you have magic.
Once there, be careful! You never can expect any object to be what it seems in the magic world. <3 br="">3>

Swingset
These two love being outside. Between riding bikes, playing at the community park, and playing in our backyard they spent over 4 hours outside playing today and would have kept going if it hadn't been for rain.

They recently bought this swing set together. They paid for half and we paid for the other half. They have been enjoying it immensely.

{Daily Moments} Pokemon city
Pokemon has been a big thing in your lives right now and Aunt Astrid gifted you her Pokemon collection from childhood. You built a Pokemon city, boat, paths and a big Pokemon hotel.

Greatest Treasure
While the boys were looking through Ethan's wooden treasure box examining his sparkly rocks and crystals in the light, I stopped to examine my greatest treasures "sparkling" in the light.
I love that these two have such a special relationship and I hope that they always cherish their bond.
"Hey, Landon! You have a rainbow on your back! (Landon tries to grab it)"

Teamwork
Spring came a little early and we spent most of the beginning of the month outside. The kids have been playing together a lot and coming up with their own pretend games that they will play together over multiple days. This past week has been windy and blowing Ethan's allergens around and the poor kid hasn't been able to go outside for long without needing a nap and medicine afterwards so its nice to look back on a happier week. They really do enjoy having a yard!
One of the games they have made up is called "Lion's treehouse". I'm not sure why they are lions but they have been crawling and roaring around the yard and playing house. Landon has been contributing a lot to the story line as well. It's been fun watching their collaborative playtime.

{Daily Moments} Epic
Mid-February it was still getting dark pretty early yet it felt like spring. One of those days we played with light-sabers in the backyard until Daddy got home.

Plant Shop
Ethan and Landon had a plant shop going the other day. They played for hours digging up weeds and replanting them. Ethan told me that one of the plants cost $102. When I asked why so much he said that its because the yellow flower attracts girls and makes them fall in love.
