Garrett had the day off today so we decided to make a fun day of it with the kids. We started off by a morning trip to the library...
It had been a few months since I had taken Ethan. He used to prefer running up and down the stacks instead of browsing for books. This time however he picked out several books, asked us to read them, and narrowed down his borrowing selection to three books. Then we played with the puzzles.
Next up we went to lunch at the Cracker Barrel. Both kids were actually pretty well-behaved which was nice. After we ate Ethan asked to go to the library again...guess it was a hit!
Instead we went to the park.
This time, the kite flew much better. It flew a lot higher and seemed less susceptible to wind gusts.
It may be just February but today felt like spring.
It looks like it was the perfect day for a family outing and I'm glad Ethan had better luck with flying his kite.
