I can't believe you have reached the double digits. It's starting to get cold outside and it reminds me that we have almost come full circle on your first year of life. The past 10 months have been so much fun as we have watched you grow.
And you have definitely been growing! You now weigh 22.5 lbs, are waving (towards yourself), clapping, and will walk while holding our hands.

You are also almost potty trained! (Just kidding! You aren't THAT big yet!)

You have also started feeding yourself puffs and cheerios.

Ethan eats cereal puffs, despite not liking them. :)

You love looking out the window! In fact, its a toss up to who will be in the window- you or the cats. I don't think the cats are super thrilled that you like to stand in their favorite window. One afternoon I opened the window 2 inches to allow some fresh air in and you and Beau cat raced to the window. You were closer and got there first. Beau stood nearby and his internal struggle on whether or not to come close enough to share the window with you was so funny. He would lurch forward then sit back and then repeat that movement as he tried to decide if sharing the window with you was worth it. ;-) In the end he decided to brave it and you let out a happy squeal and reached for him. He decided it was safer to view the window from the top of the futon instead.

You are teething big time this month. I'm not sure what tooth/teeth that you are getting in, but you love to chew on your finger (or Dad's finger when he is brushing your teeth) at the back of your mouth near your molars. You have been chewing on anything that is hard. Your favorites are hard plastic toys or wood. We recently had to tie receiving blankets on the side rails of your crib. We've had the front crib rail covered with a teething guard for months but you recently discovered that it was fun to chew on the side rails. Whoops! Guess I should have seen that one coming.

Other pictures from the month :-)

Rain, rain, go away, little Ethan wants to play.

All dressed and ready for our walk!

You look so big in your new big boy car seat!

Playing with your leapfrog activity table.

Freshly washed baby curls.

Licking bricks. You do weird things, kiddo!

Hmm...you learned that bricks don't taste very good. (Of course you kept doing it again! I had to take you away from that wall).

Your exploration of the world around you is so fun to watch! Of course it makes me cringe at times but I'm trying to get over that. :-)
Sweet, sweet pictures. I love the picture of Ethan sitting in Beau's basket! Remember the "individual bumper pads" we saw at the baby store and laughed at as being overkill? I can see where they might come in handy now! Who knew that he would someday become a "beaver baby"!?
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Ethan, no matter what he is doing. Love the variety. Can't believe he is getting so big, especially in his blue jeans. Keep the pics coming. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, the curls look just like Garrett's, just at the nape. Wavy everywhere else.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Ethan curled up on Garrett's chest
ReplyDeleteis so sweet. Its such a tender and precious moment.
Beautiful !!
I really like the photos of Ethan against the wall...tasty bricks! Great colors and depth of field.
