We celebrated your second birthday with a woodland creature themed party on Saturday, January 14th. You had both sets of your Grandparents, Uncle Adam & Aunt Hailey, Aunt Morgan, and Aunt Astrid there to celebrate with you! We had a great time and you loved being the center of attention this year. It was so much fun to see you enjoying your party!

Tortilla roll-ups, baby carrots with humus, m&m's, "acorn snacks", iced tea, bottled water, and a party keg of Root Beer. The Root Beer party keg was such a fun novelty. And Virgil's old fashioned Root Beer tastes great!

1 year old to 2 year old comparison shots. It's amazing how much growth and change happens in your second year!

Acorn snacks: Hershey kisses, mini vanilla wafers, and pretzels glued together with chocolate frosting.

As always, you loved the balloons.

and Bailey loved your balloon strings!

When we sang "Happy birthday to you" you smiled at the "you" part in the birthday song. It was a smile of wonderment like you couldn't believe that we were all singing just for YOU! It was one of the sweetest birthday moments and one that I will treasure.

You ate a Hershey kiss off of the "acorn snack" but you weren't interested in your cupcake (gluten free) or ice cream.

You knew what to do with the presents this year and enjoyed them more than the wrapping paper! As soon as you opened each toy you wanted it out of the box so you could play with it.

** Few random details**
You bonded with your Uncle Adam and gave him hugs and wanted to play with him and sit in his lap. He is the first person other than your Daddy or I who you have given hugs to! You tend to be pretty shy so it was a big deal that you took to him so fast.
Your Mimi and Poppy came a little early so that they could spend some time with you. While they were here you did puzzles with them and went for a walk outside. While you were outside you saw a squirrel and you pointed it out to them and called it a cat.

I didn't take pictures of all the presents but I did take a few pictures of these party themed items:
Plate from Aunt Kalyn
