I know I'm posting this a bit late, but last weekend we went up to Arlington, Texas with my parents and sisters and had a blast at the baby consignment sale! It is put on by an organization called "Just Between Friends" and they hold a sale twice a year for gently used baby items. I forgot to take a camera and take a picture, but here is an image I found on the
website. We spent a couple of hours on Saturday morning shopping and found some great deals! My mom's friend Robbie, went to the pre-sale a few days ahead of us and did an excellent job scouting ahead for major bargains. We got an excellent deal on a swing and an exersaucer from the pre-sale. Yay! Way to go Robbie!
After our bargain shopping we dropped by Babies R Us so that I could work on our baby registry. I had never been to a Babies R Us before but it was pretty cool! It was neat to see so much baby stuff in one store.
Later that evening we dropped by my Aunt Jennifer's house for brisket. It turns out that Jennifer had gathered a lot of our extended family members together and we were greeted by a full house! I had no idea so many people would be there- it was fantastic! It was great getting to see everyone and spend time with family. It was the perfect end to a wonderful Saturday.
It rained pretty hard all weekend long so Sunday morning after breakfast we decided to part ways and each head back to our respective towns and I got to say goodbye to my sister Morgan who was about to leave in a week to study abroad in Japan for a year. All in all it was a great weekend- productive, quality time with family, and we got back in town mid day with time to get ready for the week. Can't get better than that! :-)
